Our Mission

Founded in 2023, The American Board of Precision Medicine (The ABOPM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between scientific research and meaningful clinical application of precision medicine to improve the health outcomes of the public through board certification, residency training, and leadership development in the future of medicine.

Our Goals

  • To partner and collaborate with leading scientists, researchers, physicians, research institutions, and corporations in precision medicine to bridge the gap from “bench to bedside” in the clinical application of precision medicine.

  • Reduce the incidence and prevalence of preventable and reversible chronic diseases with the application of multi-omics, systems biology, and network medicine in clinical practice.

  • Engage and educate the current and future generations of physicians in the research and clinical application of precision medicine through:

    • Board Certification pathway for MDs and DOs.

    • Residency training and medical education programs in precision medicine.

  • Raise public awareness of and access to precision medicine.

  • Advocate for policy changes that support the adoption and implementation of precision medicine across the healthcare system.
